Danny Rost

has lived in Reno for the last 33 years.  He attended school locally going to both Reed and Sparks high school.  Danny was trained by his father to take over the family business which was an established sewing machine and vacuum sales and repair shop.  Shortly after he began making the payments to buy his father out he became caught up in a pattern of addiction with both meth amphetamines and marijuana that led to the loss of everything he had ever counted on for life.  In the following years Danny’s life continued to spin out of control until he found himself in a place that no-one ever wants to be.  With nothing left to live for and nothing left to lose he took  a step to buy some time or at least catch a breather before going out in “style”, by entering  into Center Street Mission.  Little did Danny know that the lord had been working to bring him to place where He could reach him.  Within 3 days God reached into Danny’s heart and cleaned away the dependence on outside addictions and replaced them with a burning desire to serve the Lord.  In the last 7 years the Lord has seen fit to raise Danny up  to be a pastor at the Voice in the Wilderness Church which is an outreach Ministry geared towards impacting the lives of the disenfranchised of Reno as well as the youth of this community.  Danny shares a message of hope for the hopeless and success for the failure, as well as salvation for the lost.  Danny is available for prayer at anytime and is willing to speak and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior at anytime.
